Nice piece of technology

Just attended a presentation of Microsoft Live Labs Photosynth. A quite impressive software project that would add a new perspective on how golf courses could be presented on the web. Imagine that everyone here uploads their pictures of a certain course which then is reconstructed by this neat thing.
You can check out the tech preview at

Too bad it only runs on Internet Explorer. Some day Microsoft will get it (I know, they say they are going to make it run on other browsers, but I wouldn't hold my breath.)

Well, JVB, you can breathe out. It works on Firefox. Would be great to get something going on the golf front. The golf-themed ones posted so far are unbelieveably weak -- but then it works best when you've got
2-million freaking photogs snapping away

Pretty cool, indeed. I just toured the Long Market in Gdansk, Poland in a pretty comprehensive, on the ground kind of way.
The obvious thing to do would be to send this to Frank Pont--which I did straightaway.
