John,

My oversight!  I looked north instead of east from Buffalo for my two-course club!  Oak Hill and Devil's Playground have one thing in common for me:  I've yet to play any of the four courses.  Good for you!

Mike:
What about the two private courses on Kiawah?

They are quite good...  Everyone raves about Cassique but I think The River Course is a lot more fun.  Cassique is a chest-thumping course.  It looks really hard but when your round is done, your score is pretty good.  The River Course is Fazio with teeth.  It's the second hardest course on the island next to The Ocean Course.  They are hosting the 2009 USGA Mid-Am next year so it should be interesting to see how they're set up and received by the competitors...

You mean they're not hosting the 2009 Mid-Am this year or two years from now?  What could their reasoning possible be?

Happy Festivus!
