Heres another one I stumbled across.  It reminds me of the old paintings when it was important to get people in a landscape scene.  Plus, the simplicity of the design almost implies the wind is a critical factor.

Good pictures Matt.  What is the green fee at Gisborne?  How far from Melbourne? I hear the Melbourne guys talk about Gisborne, but I really have no idea where or what it is.

It's around 45 mins from the CBD James. Take the Tullamarine Freeway, then branch off to the Calder, past Sunbury, and you're almost there. It's a solid country course, with very well conditioned greens, and at $1 per hole, is difficult to beat for value anywhere in the country.

Mark where is this picture from?  It has everything, Palm Trees, Yellow Bushes, Pine Trees, Tall Mountain Background, Guys wearing jackets, all kinds of vegatation.  Im guessing it is by the ocean in South Africa.

Yes, it's Steenberg just up the road from Cape Town.  A Peter Matkovich design, it's not on the ocean but a few miles inland.

Some really great pictures have been posted.  I particularly appreciate those posters who provided some insight as to why they chose the pictures they posted.

I am going to post one more.  This picture is from Carolina GC.  I love the fact that you can see 4 flags (from closest to furthest, the 4th, 17th, 10th and 1st, which can be seen in the distance through the trees just to the left of the closest flag).  It is a testament to the tree removal which opened up sweeping vistas throughout the property as part of Kris Spence's marvelous restoration of our Ross course.   


Philip Spogard, is the red stuff in your picture of CPC #17 iceplant?  If so, what time of year does it turn that color?

Try right clicking the mouse and then select 'properties'

Often times the person taking the photo has labeled it with the name of the course.
