European Course Aerial 4

One of a number of very fine, traditional layouts with a good pedigree in this country. It has hosted its national Open a number of times, with Flory van Donck a winner both sides of the war and Seve another of the winners. I should add that I have rotated the image through 90 degrees to the left so that it fits the screen better.

I'm not entirely sure what the white line crossing the picture may be but it is nothing to do with the golf. It is one of only two courses on which I have been applauded by members at the bar for my approach shot to the final green. That's hardly a hint - the other course was TOC, believe it or not.

Does the first part of the name rhyme with a certain precious metal with the symbol Ag?

James, Yes it is. It's a super course. You would hardly believe it, the land is SO flat, but there are blind shots. I took my sons when they were in their mid teens and had handicaps of 6 and 9 (they're much worse now!) and they thought it was the bee's knees. I also took them to Kennemer (which they didn't appreciate at all, or like) and Noordwijk (which they did like).
