Golf Club of Tennessee New Tees
« on: November 15, 2008, 01:31:55 PM »
Just a couple of pictures from two of the new tees at Golf Club of Tennessee.  The first is from the new tee at the 9th, turning this hole into a brute.  This back tee stretches the hole to 465 yards, is lower and hard by the stream, creating a more challenging bite off down the line of the stream.

This new tee is farther right on the par three tenth, playing at 165 yards and giving the player a much better look at the trouble lurking hard by the green's right hand side.

Props to superintendent Jeff Huber on the course's condition and indigenous presentation.

Never had this problem posting pics before.  They showed up initially then turned to these red boxes.

Anybody have a clue?

Thanks

Mike,

So I take it that they have gone to a one tee system - reds? :D  So, what, its an all ladies club now?

Snapfish probably doesn't like hotlinking to pics.  Try Photobucket instead.

In the meantime, just right click and "open with new window".

Mike - That's a great look at the par three.  The green appears to almost fall into the creek.  You mention this new tee is further to the right, and I'm assuming this view is from that tee.  Are the others tees so far left that the bunker is almost fronting the green, or are they just slightly further left than this view?

You heard the extent of mine above.  I have seen exactly two photos of the course.  Perhaps others can offer slightly more robust insight.    ;D

Any chance we'll get to see the outhouses of GC of T? I mean, you hillbillies love that kind of stuff right?

Joey,
With Hendren's hillbilly bathroom habits, I'm suggesting that there might be some sort of new meaning for the term for the outhouse/latrine/commode:

Blowout Bunker

(and thats me trying to keep this in on-topic Golf Architecture terms!) ;D

Tommy,

Your humor is poorly timed as I had my maiden colonoscopy Monday. :-\

Kindest regards,

when I had my one (and only) colonoscopy, they told me, We'll see you in a couple years!

My response was, Screw that, I'd rather have the ass cancer! ::)
