Melvyn,

Have a bogey free Christmas sprinkled with many a birdie, and many a brisk walk in the seaside air in the New Year.

Not necessary, as it's "celebrated" year-round on this site.

I'm pleased to report that Melvyn and his ancestors have given Santa Claus special dispensation this year to actually RIDE a reindeer-drawn sleigh this year as they cross the globe, instead of doing it the old-fashioned way and hoofing it, and carrying his own bag!  ;D

Merry Christmas to you and your's Melvyn!  ;)

Melvyn,

Your posts remind me about how golf should be played in its purest form and bring back memories of summers in Ireland hitch-hiking to the course for 54 holes day after day. What a splendid life that was - we did not know we were supposed to be tired from walking, armed with the latest equipment or using GPS devices. Let's hope the game doesn't change over there because for the most part it is f'd over here!  ;)

Cheers to a great Christmas and 2009 for you and the fam in Oregon East aka Scotland . . . apparently you have some decent linksland as well in that part of the world.  ;D
