The Definitive Guide to The Hotchkin-Woodhall Spa
« on: November 13, 2008, 12:37:46 PM »
I played Woodhall Spa last week with Director of Golf Operations, Richard Latham.  He was delightful and knew the course better than I know my children. He wrote a dazzling history of the development of the course that is must reading for anyone who is interested in how the course developed.

He also wrote one for Royal County Down that is of the same quality.

I too have met Richard, and own his book. For those interested, it is a very good piece of work about a great golf course.

He is working on a series of books, and I am waiting for the next instalment!!!

The graphics showing the development of each hole in great detail is second to none - a must for architecture buffs. The photos by Eric Hepworth are second to none. Even if you've never been there you should get a copy.
