O-T Rules Question
« on: November 03, 2008, 12:01:02 PM »
In match Play. Your ball hits your opponent who is standing out of bounds, the ball remains out of bounds... whats the rule?

You may concede the hole or play another shot from the same spot for a penalty of one stroke.

It doesn't matter what the ball hits when it is OB. If the ball stays OB, it's OB.

That would be my guess.

Decision 19-3/1 Adrian

There is no penalty and the stroke may be replayed.

You can either continue with that ball (which is OB so you have to go under stroke and distance) or replay the shot immediately.  I think most of us could make the correct choice in that case. ;)

Was the hot dog stand out of bounds?  Pretty nice shooting to hit your opponent when he's ob. . .
