Can anybody tell me where Ballyneal is please. Closest airport etc
I am planning a trip next year to visit a few courses and Ballyneal looks interesting.

Can anybody tell me about the grasses used etc?

From what I was told, there were four or five different types of fine fescue used, with the idea being at least one would thrive under different mowing patterns and in different seasons.

Denver International Airport is your best best, with a 3.5 hour drive from there to Holyoke, CO. Holyoke is basically as far East as one can get in Colorado without being in Nebraska.

Dia is 2.5 hrs drive. Fescue mix with some blue (?).

Thanks for the reply fellas, the trip is going to be spread out a bit, Chambers bay, Bandon , Ballyneal, and any other fescue venue that is posted, Tetherow being another example ,they are all on my hitlist.

so a lot of air time by the sounds of it

Hi John , i live in Scotland, and would like to visit the courses in the early years and then later on, to see how the grasses develop under your conditions/climate  if the chance presents itself.

And of course study the design eliment too.
