Mike B.,

Care to guess what that first pic of mine is?

And to be more specific, it's taken from the long-departed old third tee?

TH / MB / RW,

Boy you guys don't miss much...  That was about as close as I could get to what would have been the tee for the departed par 4 3rd.  Any further to the right ... and was down into that collapsed ravine.

Just like Huckaby, craving for attention ... just tell the neighbor down the street that you were extra good
today and deserve an extra piece of candy when you go tricker or treating tonight ...

So in my last set of photos, what interstate am I on when I snapped that photo?  Northbound or Southbound?  (oops!!)

Hey,

Tom has been a great mentor now hasn't he.  ;D

Highway looks like 101 in the Ukiah area.
If not then Hwy 5 near Mt. Shasta   ;D

I'll go with I80 North...

Evidently, your knowledge of the Interstate system is somewhat lacking ... east–west highways are assigned even
numbers, and north–south highways are assigned odd numbers ...

So I80 is wrong ;)

Sorry about that, missed the bottom of the first page ... and you are correct ... made for a somewhat hairy drive
back home, with depression beginning to set in.

Never seen anything like it in this part of the world.
From the Clubhouse at The National, Cape Schanck, Victoria.

As with so many of these pictures, best appreciated by those very familiar with what SHOULD
be in the background, such as a National Park, Bass Strait, and Apollo Bay in the distance.

I'll try and get a shot on a sunny day from the same spot soon, and post it for comparison.

Did I put down I80 North?

Yikes...  I turn 40 and the senior moments are out of control.

It's all your fault Mike.  I was convinced you were on the I80E or W and your North / South hint threw me  ;D

So was it Mt. Shasta or Ukiah?

Devil's Knob - Wintergreen Resort - April 2008

We'd be standing on the 100 yard marker and have to yell to the green to see if it was clear.

I've played Cypress twice.  Once on a crystal clear day and once on a foggy day.  Here are a few photos from the foggy day:
