Tiger played 18 yesterday at Torrey South with a security guard???  I thought he wasn't going to pick up a club until next year.....

Do you have a source for that?

He just caddied for 9 as part of a contest the guy won.
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

He recently caddied nine holes there for a contest winner. Are you sure this isn't being confused?

That was Monday (and he caddied out of a cart!).

Maybe he couldn't take it any longer and had to sneak in a round!

I doubt he played...he said he's only allowed to chip and putt right now, not yet able to take a full swing.

Yes but Tiger can chip a 3-wood 250 yards.

My two sources reported to play behind Tiger, not allowed to get within one hole of him. This was Tuesday not Monday.  JC

Why would he lie?

JC,

I don't believe it - Tiger would only play if he got the green light from his docs and trainers.

He is such an athlete I am sure he can chip, putt and even hit some half shot but, I just can't imagine him playing 18 at Torrey South.  Ask your sources if he played from the tips and if he walked the course - no way he would do that this early!

I find it hard to believe that he would risk another injury just to come back early. Maybe he chipped on 9 holes but I doubt he played 9 holes

Tiger was on Mike & Mike (ESPN Radio) this morning - said he can only hit the ball about 20 yards right now.

No way he was playing - especially at a course with so much public access 3000 miles from home.

I did love the way he said he plays XBOX video games on XBOX Live with a fake name.  Said an 8 year old once beat him at TW Golf :)

Say - anybody want to tee it up on TW09 - send me an IM here, and I'll get you my XBOX screen name.

What's the punchline?  The 8 year old was playing as Tiger, and Tiger was playing as Ernie Els?

(from NBC website)
Woods said he most likely would not be able to attend the AT&T National after surgery and doctors have advised him to avoid planes.

“But who knows?” he added. “I don’t really listen to doctors all that well, anyway.”

Woods apparently wasn’t listening in May when X-rays revealed a double stress fracture in his left tibia as he was getting back in shape from arthroscopic surgery to clean out cartilage in his troublesome left knee after the Masters.

In a story told by swing coach Hank Haney, doctors said the best treatment was for Woods to spend three weeks on crutches, followed by three weeks of rest. Haney said Woods looked at the doctor and said, “I’m playing the U.S. Open, and I’m going to win.”

--------------------------------

clearly he has a track record of ignoring docs...

...but I doubt he wants to make the same mistake twice so it does seem quite unlikely that he played the golf course.  and in this day and time it would almost be impossible for him to do that at a public facility without someone coming up with some pictures.
