World's True Links Course List
« on: October 09, 2008, 04:56:54 PM »
Does anyone know of a list of all the true links courses to be found in the world?  I know that many courses are debatable, but if anyone knows of this list, I would love to see it.

Thank you.

Robert Price's book, Scotland's Golf Courses lists all that are in Scotland. It also has diagrams of all the links land in the region; whether golf developed or not.  His Feature Interview from 2002 is at      http://www.golfclubatlas.com/interviewprice.html  but you'll have to buy his book for the list you're looking for.  A terrific read if you have any interest in the geologic histories of golf courses.  Drumlins, and eskers, and moraines, oh my!

Thanks to both of you.  I was working on putting together a comprehensive list.

As with most lists the list of Best Links courses on Golfer magazine seems a bit odd.  Is Whistling Straits really a links course?  Seems to me faux links.
