I have an extra copy of the Confidential Guide obtained from the legendary basement stash in Traverse City.  I don't know the official edition name, but it is the brown one with no photos.  All proceeds will be donated to Ran, however, the substantial costs for postage (approximately $35 each for overseas shipping) will be subtracted for both myself and Tom Doak.  Tom has graciously agreed to personalize the book once we know who the winning bidder is.  The reserve is $250/£135.  A postage charge if purchased in the USA is $20 and if in the UK is £19.  Any other country is a bit of a lottery as to how much it costs!  The auction will remain open until I hit the hay on Sunday night.  If folks don't want to publicly bid an IM/email can be sent.

It is no. 958 of the limited edition of 1000 copies published in 1994 ... the brown cover book with the same reviews (through 1994) but no pictures.

Stone and Alesmith are my two favorite breweries.

If you like the Stone IPA, its time to upgrade to the Ruination.  Its the hopped-out-roids version of the IPA!!   

And never, ever, ever, pass on a chance to have either Stone or Alesmiths Imperial Stouts.  Good stuff.  Looks and pours like used motor oil, but tastewise is the nectar of the gods!!!

Right - I think we have reached a fairly serious level bidding and guys deserve to know the pattern of the bids.  I am told this effect how people bid.  Sorry I didn't do this earlier, but I didn't realize the demand for this book!  I have gone back and shown the Bidder #s and only the folks bidding know who their number is. 

I can also report that Bidder #2 has upped his price to $700/£378.
