HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel will have a segment on the donald's Aberdeen, Scotland plans on its season opener Tuesday at 10 pm. It will probably the second segment around 10:15.
Mickey (Foote) and Donald both appear. Maybe they will show some of the land.

Is there any new info on this project?

We all know that if this course is ever built, it will undoubtedly be "The best course in the world!"  ;D

The Donald talked about it on Letterman a couple of weeks ago. Apparently just one or two individuals are holding it up and he thought it would be resolved soon. Meaning the check will clear with another 0 :o
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

There are plenty of pics of the land (which is very impressive) at:

As far as I know, the application for the project is under final review by the government and a decision will be made some time this fall.

The Press & Journal is the local newspaper out of Aberdeen. If you go to their website every once in a while and do a search for Trump, you should be able to find the latest articles and follow what is the latest news in this soap opera.

I enjoyed the portion of the interview when Bernie was insinuating that Trump was going to have Mr. Forbes whacked.

This story reminds me of the movie Local Hero where American Oil barrons attempt to by a Scottish village and are trumped by a guy who lives on the beach. Of course the negotiations were much more civil in the movie.
Who cares if there is a little farm in the middle of paradise. The golf course, the ocean, and the pubs should be enough to keep tourists occupied.

Richard Le Seur, one of the guys credited with those photos, is a young GCA from Edinburgh who is apparently working on the project design.  When I made my first trip to play golf in Scotland in 2004, he came up from Edinburgh and played the Craighead (Hanse) course at Crail with me.  Good golfer and a very nice young guy, I hope he is playing a major role in this project and gets lots of credit for it.
