New Course at Pebble?
« on: September 08, 2008, 12:10:45 PM »
I heard they were building a new course where the equestrian center is currently located at the Pebble Beach Resort.  (also about 500 yards from CPC #5).

It has been in the works for a long time and the Pebble Beach company is building it (obviously there are few lawsuits to stop it) and it sounds like it moving forward soon.

He did not know the architect however.

Anyone heard of this?

I thought the California Coastal Commission had ruled against this project. Has there been some new development in terms of the Pebble Beach Company's negotiations with the various bureaucracies?

This might shed some light on this proposed course, even though this is from 2003:

Tom, that's what I heard as well. Bob Huntley I'm sure can give us the scoop.

I also read last year that this project was completely dead.
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

As Tim mentions I think the project was given Last Rites in 2007.

Is this a case of not building a course is good thing?

As Tim mentions I think the project was given last rights in 2007.

That's a curious case of the homophone giving the opposite impression to that intended.  It almost reads like the course got its final permits.

Either that,

Or John actually meant to say "Last Rites" and didn't know it was spelled differently.

It would be interesting to see the land in question...with its proximity to CPC probably has some decent features.

I realize that, Kalen... just figured it was a brain cramp - we all do them - but this one was more interesting than usual.
