I think the course would have be great with 2/3rds less going on.

No one travels to see 2/3rds less. It's not a great formula for a golf business. Most raters, aficionado's and GCA.com'ers go for the "more is more" formula.

Home run.

I travel for 2/3s less all the time.  This course looks very interesting for sure, but the photos don't make me want to visit.  There is just too much going on even though some of it looks fantastic.  Isn't it wonderful to be spoiled for choice?

Michael, thanks for posting.

Mostly, I didn't like the project because I thought the homes would loom over the golf course too much.

When he says it it is pure genius. When I say it someone throws eggs on my house.

I'm not sure if that's a complaint or a statement of you coming to grips with the reality of who's who.

Anthony,

I think that is the most valid point in terms of "issues" at Tetherow.

With the RE market and economy the way they are it probably will not matter for 5 to 10 years, but once those monsters go up the course aesthetics are going to change significantly.

I don't think anyone would be disappointed with a trip to Tetherow over the next few years. The "tone down" will make it more playable and pleasing for most. No matter what they do, it will continue to be a polarizing course because the visual stimuli is so powerful.

I think the point was touched on that because of the surrounding land being a little dull that something was needed to jazz the course up. That makes since to me. As long as it does not deminish playability too much.
