to my old teammate and roommate at tiny Glenville State College, Bob Sowards registered his first Top 10 on PGA Tour yesterday at Sedgefield... persistent bugger he is... been chasing things for 20 years now. Hope this is a start of something good for Seņor Sowards.

Sorry... but it is golf related.

No idea who he is, but he made a smooth $125k on Sunday!  Not bad to play a game for a living.  Good for him!

PGA Club Pro Player of the Year various times... been trying forever... vowed this was his last hurrah... maybe not. For those of us who rarely play any longer it warms the heart.

Awesome.....hope this is a sign of good things to come.  It's all about confidence at the next level.  Hopefully this is a spring board for his mental game and will take him to the next level.
"The mystique of Muirfield lingers on. So does the memory of Carnoustie's foreboding. So does the scenic wonder of Turnberry and the haunting incredibility of Prestwick, and the pleasant deception of Troon. But put them altogether and St. Andrew's can play their low ball for atmosphere." Dan Jenkins

"Working" you say????

Bob has been in the Columbus area since leaving school.

He "screwed up" the best job in the world by getting his card back in '97 I believe. Bob had a great gig at Muirfield Village playing and teaching with the goal of making it on tour. Well, making it cost him a great job.
