You're absolutely right, Chris. Thanks for providing that link on the Wilson thread.
That par 3 11th at Pennhills is a very good hole, and getting on the green is just part of the challenge. The 12th causes some uncertainty for those who land their drives between 240 and 260. Can I carry that creek, or not. And, again, getting on the green is just a small part of the problem. That green borders on the ridiculous, given its severe slope. I know Pennhills members who would like to take dynamite to it. The 14th offers some interesting choices, doesn't it? A neat hole, and a green that has some subtle runoffs. Those creeks come into play on a lot of holes throughout the course. A beautiful place to play a round of golf in the Fall.
