Holy cow! Is that really a shot of Colwood?

The last time I was there (25 years ago), the only water I remembered were on 3... a ditch fronting the green... a concrete bird bath in front of the green on 4, and running across the front of 13 green and 14 tees.

What hole would that be? Could only be the 4th from what I remember.

You are right on the money.  That is #4 at Royal Colwood from what I am guessing the 1920's. Maybe David can verify the date, but I surely don't remember that hole resembling that look too closely the last time I played there.

I think Tony was referring to David Moriarty's picture. While David Stamm's picture is of MP, David Moriarty's is Royal Colwood.

Ocean Reef in Key Largo, FL, has similar platforms on several holes

The Medalist has one but it's got a turf top.

The course was renovated by Robert Baldock in 1965?   Who is he and what has he done.  Amazing these courses choose unknown architects to work on classics.
