Shelter Harbor
« on: August 01, 2008, 02:30:13 PM »
I played Shelter Harbor GC in Charlestown, RI on Monday and had a fantastic time.  I wrote a review for my father's golf/real estate blog at www.golfcommunityreviews.com if you're interested.

Cheers.

    Here's an updated link to Tim's fine story . . .

Now that it's been open awhile, have any more blokes played 'er?

BTW . . . this was Jeff Bradley's first foray into bunker building outside of the C & C firm.

No, I haven't played there and I'm not going to until they add a few more bunkers on this hole.  ;D

I caddied for Jeff at Calusa Pines once with Dana Fry. Dana could not say enough good things about his bunker work for them at SH.

Finally, a little discussion of this gem of a golf course!  :)

Seriously guys, I have not seen more ruggedly excellent bunkers on any golf course.  And furthermore, the greens are fun as hell.  And there's great variety among the holes.  Shelter Harbor is a triple-threat.  Play there if you can; absolutely.
