Courses between Buffalo & Rochester ?
« on: March 02, 2008, 08:27:18 PM »
In June I am visiting friends in Buffalo, N.Y. They are not golfers. Other than Oak Hill, what courses within or between these two metro areas are worth seeking out, for significant golden age architecture.
Thanks

Mark,

If you are looking for the ODG's (Old Dead Guys)

In Rochester besides Oak Hill we also have Donald Ross at Monroe, Irondeqouit, Brook-Lea and CCR all private though.

In Buffalo there is Park Club (Colt & Allison), CC of Buff (Ross), Orchard Park (Travis) and Niagara Falls (Tillinghast).

Between the two is Stafford (Travis) which is w/ a renovation from Ian Andrew.

For newer, publc courses there are a ton including the Niagara Falls Canada side. Need any more details, send me an IM, I am in Rochester.
