Joel:
Thanks to Golf 20/20 people are finally talking to each other. Prior to Golf 20/20 it seemed to me that our industry was somewhat fragmented.
Golf 20/20 has helped build bridges between allied golf associations at the national level. Now, out here in California, allied groups have also united in a similar way to address issues that impact the business and game of golf.
Fortunately, with recent support from Golf 20/20 the California Alliance for Golf (CAG) was able to complete an economic study, a tool that will assist us in communicating our message to legislative representatives as well as to regional/local community leaders.
There's still plenty of work left to do in protecting water resources, promoting environmental stewardship, and growing the game of golf, but at least now, allied organizations are forging forward together.
