Pete and Brian's links posted...
Brian, I've been so focused on improving on my game since picking it up a few years ago that I haven't gotten away nearly enough to play all these great courses! These photos have inspired me to change gears - try less and travel more...

Thanks for everyone's input (especially Scott Burroughs)... we've grown my initial list of 3 or 4 photo tours to nearly 150 entries! There's quite a few more out there, but their photo links are broken. If any of those threads are yours, fix the links and let me know when they're ready. I think this applies to a number of Michael Dugger's threads. BTW, I'll be out of town for 2 weeks starting this weekend (RV trip to CO -- hitting Redlands, Lakota Canyon, Red Sky, Haymaker, Raven at Three Peaks, Breckenridge?), but may get a chance to update this list if I hit a few RV Parks with WiFi connections. Thanks again for everyone's help getting this list together!
p.s. just added Rivermont CC -- welcome to GCA Kyle!

Thanks Kirk, added Fossil Trace... Jason, I used Google to search for golfclubatlas.com photobucket.com jasontopp and found a few of the links you provided, but only found one gca thread I didn't already have (Tobiano -- now added). Interestingly, this thread didn't have your photos??? If you can provide the actual threads, that would help ... Thanks!

I think this applies to a number of Michael Dugger's threads. My links are not broken, per se. For an image to display it needs to exist on the server it's being pointed towards in the respective thread. Mine no longer exist because I've pulled them down and no longer have that server space. Sorry but I do not anticipate going back over them all again so they work.

Not sure I'd take on that effort either Thanks for your reply Michael.

Gleneagles, PGA Centenary http://golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,35547.0.htmlThe Grove http://golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,34323.0.htmlCheers, James ps Couldn't find a decent photo tour of Notts (Hollinwell) which was suprising, I'll have to take my camera next time. But it took a loooooong time to do that. I had to find every single thread, going page by page.

whew, back up to date! thanks for all the new links... unfortunately, my last update went over the maximum 20,000 characters per post, so I modified all the links to use relative URLs and removed all the www.golfclubatlas.com prefixes. That got me by for now, but I'll soon have to break this up into 2 different threads - perhaps one for US courses, another for Non-US. I also had to remove the following from the first entry... I'll put this somewhere else soon: Related Directories: Austrailian Classics, by Philip Gawith Hole-by-Hole Directory to Tim Bert's Photo Tribute to Pacific Dunes, by Art Fuller Aerial of the Day Summary, by Scott Burroughs A Web Brower's Guide to the United Kingdom, by Mark Rowlinson

I know Shinnecock is covered by Ran under Courses by Country. But here is a pictorial I did in case you want to add it to your list. I've edited it to add back in a number of pictures which were removed from the host server. http://golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,33021.0.html

One way to make this great thread a permanent fixture we can all easily find: put it in the column on the left. Along with "Courses By Architect", "Courses By Country", etc., we'd also see "Golf Course Photo Tours".

Added Shinnecock, Thanks Ed!
Jim, I like your idea, but I'm not sure if the moderators want to link to a single thread from the main menu on the left, nor do I imagine they want to maintain this list themselves and place it on it's own web page (like courses by country/architect). Although I'm happy to turn the list over if they do!!
For now, I was thinking that anyone who wants to create their own directory thread like this one (e.g. Best of GCA, Getting Started at GCA (who are you anyway, etc.), Course Recommendations by State/Country, etc.) simply include "Official Directory - ..." in the subject line to make for easy searching.

Wish I could join you, but leaving tomorrow... let me know what you think of Monarch. You might check out the new 12-holer next door too (other side of range). BTW, just played Dairy a couple weekends ago. Thanks for reminding me about the link! Thanks Ed for the Congressional link too.

Have fun at Red Sky. It is pretty cool place. I liked the Norman course better than the Fazio. The way Norman routed the course really makes best use of the land. Here is a link to sean's Whittington Heath thread. http://golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,35648.0.htmlI'd like to see this thread continue. It is great fun.
