One of the best courses in the Midlands - it is used for Open Local Qualifying.
The 17th hole has just been redesigned by Mackenzie and Ebert.

Wonderful golf course, a little of an uptight membership..but great course.
Very underated on a "ratings" scale in my opinion.
Like alot of things in the UK, if this course was in the London area it would be heralded as as a great course in the magazines etc...

The green sitting out in the lake (#17?) makes me think this is Little Aston. It is known for its putting course outside the clubhouse. I bought a Hogan wedge out of the barrel in the pro shop there in 1985 that is still in the trunk (or should I say boot ;)) of my car.

Yes, Little Aston, which claims Harry Vardon parentage. Look at the bunkering! It is quite something. For my taste the best hole is the 10th which is the second of the holes through the trees on the left of the picture, following the short 9th. It is a climbing double dog-leg par 4 not unlike the 12th at Swinley Forest. I am also very fond of the short par-4 4th and 14th holes, very good of their kind.

The 10th is the first hole that springs to mind to me as well.
A wonderful hole, very old school in its design.
I love the course and the one down the raod, Sutton Coldfield..just out there in the middle of Sutton Park.
The housing around Little Aston is rather nice as well.

I played this course for the first time last year and thoroughly enjoyed it... Colt was here too, wasn't he?...

Anyway, holes that haven't been mentioned - I was a fan of the third hole, a short par-5
