Good article about the recent restoration by Ron Forse of this Alex Findlay gem in Haddonfield, NJ. The work was done by Frontier Golf. The club's GAP team, led by gca member Jamie Slonis, won the GAP Team Title recently.

Better article on p56 here:  http://golfcourseindustry.texterity.com/golfcourseindustry/200806/

Does anyone else think it's a bit misleading when they say Findlay designed Aronimink in Philadelphia?

While he did help to design the second site of Aronimink, he had nothing to do with it's third and current site in Newtown Sq designed by Donald Ross.

Thanks for those article links.  I hadn't seen either of them.  Jim Nagle along with Chris Brennan and the crew from Frontier can't be thanked enough for the job they did.  There were surprisingly few problems and the project went smoother than we could have ever hoped for.  We are now in the middle of our 2nd full season and the course is holding up beautifully.  The newer strains of Bent grass are flourishing, and we are constantly battling the Poa that remainied even after the chemical and gas treatments that initially killed the grass.  I swear that if there was ever a Nuclear winter and any human survived, at least we'd still have Poa grass alive to play golf on. ;D

Jamie -

We spoke awhile back about getting some pictures up on GCA.  When do you think the best time is; mid-September?
