Desperation
« on: June 17, 2008, 07:56:21 PM »
Maybe I am stating the obvious but I am getting a ton of emails from US daily fee courses inviting me to "come play my course".

Maybe my GWAA and USGA associations are sold databases and the origins of these targeted emails but I wonder....

I get a distinct sense of desperation in these emails.  Could this just be more evidence of the erosion in the business base of many daily fees?

Any common experiences?

Got this one today. US Kids is a really great company. If they are paying you to send them kids...........

"Parents and current participants can earn $25 by referring any eligible child who has never played in a U.S Kids Golf event.  For each qualified child that registers for a Local Tour and sends in a completed referral form, you will receive a $25 credit to the credit card used to pay for your U.S. Kids Golf events. "

My son and I have our annual golf trip next week, but clearly I am driving the bus.
