On the weekends, I like to play after the soccer dads are done, let's say around 9:00.  During the week, balls in the air no later than 1:30.

First thing in the morning. Never have to worry about slow play and I still have most of the day to spend with my family.

It's kinda funny since during the week, I cannot wake up without an alarm. But I wake up at least an hour before when I have to get up for tee time on weekends :)

Its called wishing you had a different job (join the club).

I think this question is better framed as "what time of day do you not like to play at?"  I believe the answers would be shorter.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

I like to play in the middle of the night with glow-in-the-dark balls.

Late afternoon is the best time, usually not crowded, wild life sneaks out to nibble on fairways, shadows really show off course contours.
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

I really love late afternoons... especially on seaside courses where the setting sun plays a role in how well you can see your shots, and just adds to the absolute beauty of the course set against the ocean.

We played European Club in this setting last summer and it was beautiful, though it got too dark as we were there at like 1030 at night!

Also, during my first trip to Ireland, we hit balls at the Ballybunion range at sunset and it really got me to appreciate where I was and how lucky I was to be there.

These days, my favorite time is weekends mid/late afternoon until sundown with my wife and 11 year old son (and given that my wife has been most improved in the womans group the last two years since taking up the game, and my son is showing a flair for the game, this humble 18 handicaper will soon be getting strokes from them  ;))

Love the late afternoons at a quiet club.  Teeing off around 4 or so.

Unfortunately this tends to be the twilight time at many public courses and with the overpriced golf everywhere this is a busy time with a questionable finish.

This then leads me to reminiscing of early, dewy, parkland golf that is quite tranquil.

I've always loved playing in the afternoon and ending the day on the golf course.  Had the chance to play the 17th & 18th at Pebble in near-darkness a little over a week ago and it was magical.

I have always enjoyed playing in the evening: less crowded, cooler, defining shadows. I believe the word "magical" has been used in prior posts.

When visiting Ireland several years ago, I actually started with a local chap at 8:30 and we finished 18 holes at 10:45 PM. Now THAT was fun, especailly the pint or two after.

I can't touch my toes in the morning, so that pretty much rules out morning tee times.

I'm not an early morning golfer so my regular Saturday medal is alunchtime tee time.  The best time for golf is a perfect summers evening (not that you get many of those in the UK!)

Summer evening, walking into the sunset, usually the course to myself or close to it, the ground beginning to wetten from the dew.  Nothing like it.

Daybreak!  Nothing like seeing the sun rise over Mt. Hood while playing the first few holes of Great Blue at Heron Lakes...and most especially, not waiting on groups ahead the entire round...

Of course sunset on the 40th hole at Pac Dunes is also a treat....

When there's no one in front of me.

Today my father and I tee'd off at 0854, when we reached the 6th we could see the only people ahead of us were a two ball on the 16th. We were round in 3hrs and 15 mins for 18 holes including a coffee stop at the halfway hut....bliss!

I'm not a morning person, so I prefer an afternoon tee time, but I will play any time :).  There is something about rounding 18 with the last lights of the day in a cool summer evening.

I'm a dewscraper (three young boys...lots of Little League etc)...my regular group tees off at daybreak on Saturdays.  This past Saturday we started at 5:40 a.m.  This Saturday we'll be a few minutes earlier than that.

My preference is late summer days, but I don't get much opportunity to do that.  This past Sunday I played nine with my 6-yr old, and we started at 5:00, and were home for dinner at 6:30.  Good stuff.

Does your six year old get tired walking 9, or do you take a cart?  I've only taken my 5 year old to a pitch and putt.

I'm thankful for a lot of things that early...local Starbucks that opens at 5:00, the staff in the shop who send us out, and the grounds crew and marshalls that are on the job.  It's SOP for public courses in the area to open at daybreak (privates open later).  We rotate among Tilden, Monarch (nee Tony Lema) and Metropolitan.

With our youngest we take a cart.  There are a couple of hills to climb on the course.  His older brothers walk.

I like to play first out on the weekends due to family demands and a 5 and a 7 year old at home to maximize time with them.

I really like to play at 1ish on weekdays because that means I have a work free afternoon (ok, this is more like when I dream of playing).

I must admit early morning is my preference....

But there is no disputing the magic during that last hour before sunset, especially on a course like Pebble or MPCC along the Pacific Ocean.

Nothing like being first off in the dawn of a new day.  The unspoiled course at that time of day is a sight to behold.  Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face.
