There is a wonderful photo in the bar at NGLA of, as I recall, six of the Founders of The National who were also USGA Presidents, which photo was taken during the Open at Oakmont in 1938. Findlay Douglas stands proudly in that group indeed. A great credit to the founding of golf in America he was.
