Thanks Mike.  Have you read CT Yankee?  Most of the book is excellent, but again Twain gives us another story with another "people in disguise get into trouble" motif.  He wore that one out after three or four other novels.

I was flattered when Sal Johnson and another GCAer wrote me and said they were fans of the book and liked the piece.  I don't know why you think it's fawning as I say at one point that Tom's aphorisms are dorky sometimes.

Look, was there anything specific I said in there that you disagree with?  It was a tough piece to write; Tom is complex.
