For all you who played in the Kings Putter, our new pro is interested in your take on our little gem and any suggestions you might have.  I will share your thoughts with him.  Thanks.

Tell him to get rid of the pop-up rakes. :P

Seriously though, I will think about it and give you some suggestions.

Stan - Keep those fairways running firm and fast.  That course rolled better than any other we played all week.  It makes for a real treat on those holes on the back nine.

I had as much (or more) fun out there on the back nine as I did on the comparable dunes holes at Spyglass Hill.

Hey Sybil - front nine is Jans National then, I gather?

And by that I gather you liked it?  The front nine, that is?

Sybil and I were so overwhelmed by the holes on the back nine that we played bogey golf with our better ball.

Or maybe it was just the sausage burritos.

Sybil,

You've got one week to let your feelings on this course sink in before I expect the Jans National vs. Pacific Grove hole-by-hole match play.  Forward or reverse Jans - your choice.

It truly was a Chamber of Commerce kind of weekend in Monterey.  Temps in the 70, breezy conditions...just perfect!!

Here are a few pics from PG:

Speaking of driving a par-4, anyone come close on 13?

Stan, Is the pro familiar with the idea to change #18 into a world class finisher at the top of the hill?

What, no picture of the controversial new club house?   ::)

I put it pin high left and made par.

I was about 5 yards off the front edge dead online for the hole and didn't feel I made great contact.  My better hole was 12 where I had 205 into the green and hit 4-wood just over it.

Stan,

I love the course.  I think that both par 3s on the back could be made more interesting.  They are definitely a letdown compared to the other holes back there.
