Andrew obviously needs to work harder.
If only that were true, I'd be a much happier person. Aside from the weekend before, I hadn't played since I lost my match in the SF City over a month earlier. I worked straight through most of those weekends. I almost had to withdraw from this event too. All right, enough of the "poor me" routine.
It would be really nice to see an NCGA Mid-Am and a CGA Mid-Am started, though I probably wouldn't have the vacation days available to actually play in them. I do think it's a bit bold for an independently-run tournament to call itself the California Mid-Am, but there is no existing event so they are filling a gap. The combination of the very good course and the name do attract a better field, not to mention the exemption into the Stocker Cup for the winner.
Chris played great all day the second round. He practically knocked down the flag sticks on 12-15 then handled those tricky finishing holes very well.
