I realize these threads really contribute nothing to the site, but how can I resist.  My man from work is heading down next thursday for a wedding and was asking me to recommend a place to play.  Within an hour, give me your top 5.  Thanks in advance, I promise to contribute something worthwhile in the next couple weeks.  Sincerely,

NEV

Copperhead at Innisbrook in Tampa
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

I agree - Innisbrook Copperhead.  Don't waste your time looking further...

I'm having a bachelor party (golf weekend) of sorts in a few weeks in Tampa/St. Pete....we are planning on World Woods Pine Barrens, Belleview Biltmore, and Dunedin if we aren't too banged up from the night(s) before.

Looks like I've been steered in the right direction.

Add in the two Red Sox wins over the D-Bags that we are going to see, and it should be a good weekend!  ;)

The discussion threads at GolfWRX.com might be of more help if you're looking for course recommendations.

World Woods and Innisbrook are the best to get alot of great golf.  Innisbrook host the PODS Championship and has four courses and World Woods has two.  Copperhead at innisbrook and Pine barrens at world woods are the best.  A lesser known course but one that i enjoy is Waterleaf in bradenton.
