Tide surges and 80mph winds here in N.Ireland tonight. The 'Sun' said it was a hurricane but frankly I am surprised they didn't find a way blame Blair and Bush, sure didn’t they even Dustin the Turkey is their fault ;)

All well and good here thanks Michael. I think there has been some damage but in London it certainly wasn't as bad as predicted. I think the South West took the brunt of it.

On this coast (East) the storm seems to have improved the weather and blew all that winter stuff away.  It was worse west and south, just about normal here in St. Andrews. Blew over a few daffodils.

The West and North seems to be bearing the brunt today, with storms battering the coastline,  probably not a day for a round at Birkdale, Hoylake, Lytham etc!
2014 to date: not actually played anywhere yet!
Still to come: Hollins Hall; Ripon City; Shipley; Perranporth; St Enodoc

I spose after the brilliant weather we had in February we were due for a nasty patch.

The wind hasn't been too bad where I live, but very steady and fairly strong.  Cheltenham was cancelled today.  That should save me a few bob with the bookies.

Ciao
New plays planned for 2024: Nothing

One of my business partners was on a corporate freebie to Cheltenham today, travelling down on a coach full of food and booze. I haven't heard from him so perhaps they're driving around the UK motorway network until the food and booze run out ;D
