NW GCA March Outing
« on: February 21, 2008, 11:50:39 PM »
Pat Howard and Jordan Wall say they are in, thats enough reason to go.  Who would be interested in playing some golf, rain or shine?  What are thoughts on the location?

What about Chambers, Sahalee & Aldarra ;) Of course, Seattle Golf Club would work as well... Get that going, and there will a herd of GCA'ers enroute for a weekend of good beer, good people & great golf!!!

Tony,

That would be fun.  Seattle is really an amazing track, one that doesn't get much mention, I'm assuming because not a lot of people have played it.  But it's amazing.  All those courses would make for quite a weekend.

Cheers,
Jordan

Whitehorse?  They will pick you up at the Edmonds/Kingston Ferry dock if you walk on.  And return you after your round to catch a ferry home.  Know a couple people who have played over there and they enjoyed it.

or Gold Mountain?

Tony,

Thats an honor, thanks.
I wonder if you ever read Jesse's thread last year about us at Harbour Point..it's pretty funny.
And, btw, dont listen to Sean.  He's jealous.  I know, I just got off the phone with him.
 ;D

Sean,

What about something easier to get to (not requiring a ferry or a long drive around the Narrows)?
I dont know what course would do off the top of my head but honestly, something a bit easier to get to might be nice.

If we got enough people, I'd do Chambers.

Whatever you want Jordan, its you the legend we get to play with.  Echo Falls?  I do anything I can do to support the Oki pocket.

Sean,

What about...Harbour Point.
But really.  Its cheap, decent, and would be fun.
Though, it is an Oki course now too.

Just a thought.

Cheers,
Jordan

First three weekends are not good for me, but don't make special plans to lure me northward.

Count me in.

I would advise against Harbour Pointe as the drainage is not that great there. Chambers, The Home Course, WaNat, Hawk's Prairie, Olympic, anything that drains well is fine by me.

Sean,

Despite your feelings toward the course, I'm sure if we chose Chambers Bay then we'd get the biggest outcome..

Cheers,
Jordan

Jordan, Sean

I could do the weekend of March 15/16 but that would be all.

Jordan, have you booked a flight to KP?  Let me know so I can arrange to meet.

BTW, anyone interested in doing the Oki Tour?

Get the Platinum card and you get 6 rounds at 8 of his courses ($299). Great excuse to get together regularly with GCA crowd.

what are the dates in March that you guys are considering?

Thats a start to make it even since I have never played there.  I might also need to leave my driver in the bag and let him play a set of tees or two up.
They might cut the odds to 5/3.
