Do you guys mind if I sell some ads on my posts?
« on: February 12, 2008, 05:27:30 PM »
What in the hell is this? I got it in an email.

"Hi,

We've seen your website at http://www.golfclubatlas.com/forums2/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=33119
and we love it!

We see that your traffic rank is 958358
and your link popularity is 133.
Also, we see that you are online since 28/05/1999.

With that kind of traffic, we will pay you up to $4,800/month
to advertise our links on your website.

If you're interested, read our terms from this page:
http://www.contactthem.ws/hit.php?s=10&p=2&w=102049

Sincerely,

Eva Karf
The ContactThem Network"

Guys:

$4,800 a month? Are you kidding me? I could buy some serious red for that. Hell, I'll even cut Ran in for up to $329.99 a month.

Do you guys mind if I sell some ads on my posts? How about if they're personal ads from some hot girls looking to party at a moment's notice?

Go for it. It's no different than architects promoting themselves on this site. Let me know when you sign the deal and I'll make sure to hit on your posts a couple hundred times a day.

Tom,

That's one of the funniest things I've read in a while.  I was laughing out loud reading that.  The funny part is, I don't think they were bs'ing you.  The amount of clicks per your posts, you probably would be good for an advertiser!

Go for it!

I think the operative word in that little presentation for picking on it, is "viral".   ::) :-\

No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

Do you understand that this thread has already made Tom $4.23? I'm still looking for the subliminal ad he embedded in his post... Gotta go. For some strange reason I feel like a Bud Light.

Tom, you could offer us a choice: we can see your posts with the ads for hot girls looking to party, or we can see them without.

I wonder which will get more views?

$4,800 a month is barely a dent in your wine budget...what you need to do is get back on that amateur status committee and get back to making some real money...

Sully:

My latest fixation is just how much most people have nothing more than an "either/or" mentality about just about everything. So, thanks for suggesting what you did above. I think I'll do BOTH!  ;)
