Scott has a much more important event pending for today.
So in his honor....

Brad,
I think you could know this one.

The clue is in what event Scott is attending.

As of next week a Burroughs' family membership here would significantly increase the total membership.

Brad-
I used could as it isn't Ross, but I still might amend that could to "should", according to "Discovering Donald Ross" anyway.

This archie was a member of the national school of design.

Location clue - Brad's home state.

Archie clue - That woman who stated the masters could be held elsewhere to Mr. Johnson, would have probably been better off looking for one of this archie's earlier works.

Ahhh- I've got it.

This is probably as original as any current existing course by this eccentric architect.

The two island green par 4's should help some to identify this course.  The name of the water hazard should help as well!

Good course- one of the best in the state.

I implied his current home of CT - according to the flap on "Discovering D.R."

Scott will be bringing home # 2 shortly, and I'll blame my #1
Wee todler for my lame clues, although they weren't very
good prior to her birth either.

VanDevelde wouldn't like to be a member here.

Scott send me a message last night that sounded as if they were going to be heading to the hospital for a hopefully smooth delivery.  It's their 2nd child.

Today's course is

Wee Burn in Darian, CT
Founded 1896
Course Opened: 1925

Architect: Devereux Emmet

"Wee Burn derives its character from the two "burns" that affect play on 8 holes" - Golf Clubs of the MGA

Hey, no fair. Clue was misleading. Wee Burn in Darien is Fairfield County, which is not "really" part of Connecticut. It's really NYC's sixth borough. Up here in lovely old New England's Hartford County, we never think of it as part of the Nutmeg State.

I know you know exactly what Scott is going through right about now. Hope you are adjusting well to your new family.

But with "Wee Burn" being the AOTD, its good to hear Scott was out because of a hospital visit involving an epidural; not penicillin.

Congrats Scott....I was hoping this wasn't "Standing before a Judge, charged with DUI CC". Just kidding, I have no idea whether Scott drinks or not, but if he and wife are having more kids, I do know something's going on!....Good luck, hope all are healthy!

Any words from Scott?
maybe I'll be able to tie junior's name into an aerial?
At least it will make for a better clue.

Brad -
At least you admit Darian is part of the U.S.  These Texans think they are their own nation.
Except for Texsport, another solid guy from GCA, we
batted it around last friday.  He did one hop one in from 60 yards.  I don't know how he got past the green though?

Hod -
yeah, my clues are the worst.  I didn't get a lot of help today, SPDB was a little off?

Thanks for the kind word everyone.  Home to get some sleep after none last night.

Erin Elizabeth was born at 4:23 a.m. EDT this morning, 12 days early.  That makes two girls with Irish names.  Mommy and baby are doing fine.

Such timing for this one, as I had a good one set for today.  It wasn't even available less than a week ago.  In due time....

Off to ZZZZZZZZ.

I've been out all day, oddly enough, playing golf...so I didn't get into the guessing game ::)  But I couldn't resist to comment late.  CONGRATULATIONS SCOTT!!! ;D

Wow, this course aerial taken in fall looks more like an artist's palette than an actual photo.  I was trying to make out the hole corridor just northwest of the series of what I think are tennis courts.  Is that a practice area with two alternate pracitce greens, or two par 3s coming from opposite directions used as playoff holes?  They don't appear to be in the proper positions to be part of the 18 hole routing, that appears fairly obvious.

No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.
