At Pinehurst today, I noticed one Aleck Ross won the North and South several times, including the inaugural one around 1902.  Anyone in the Treehouse know anything about him?  Was he the son/brother of The Original Donald?

Alex or Alec Ross, won the 1907 U.S. Open at Philadelphia Cricket Club - St. Martin's Course. Born 1879, was six years younger than Donald Ross, came over to the States in 1900, was assistant at Oakley CC, then the head pro at Brae Burn CC, helped out on early design and construction of 36-hole Detroit GC in 1915-1916 and stayed on for 30 years as head professional there.

He and Donald Ross won every Massachusetts Open from 1905 to 1911.
