David Tepper sent me this YouTube video of the design and construction of a beautiful par 3 hole at Castle Stuart in the Scottish Highlands on the Moray Firth.

Wow.  When does this place open?

There are now 6 Castle Stuart construction videos available at youtube.com

Last I heard, they are hoping to have a "soft" opening of the course for the media/public relations in Sept/Oct 2008 and a "hard" opening for daily fee play in May/June 2009.

The hotel/resort facilities will probably not be open until at least 2010.

Since the project is in Scotland and not France or England, it should be spelled Stewart instead of Stuart.

Wayne -

Castle Stuart is well over 300 years old. Bonnie Prince Charlie is reputed to have stayed there the night before he led his troops into the slaughter of the Battle of Culloden.

As far as I know, it has always been spelled S-T-U-A-R-T.

In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.
