Toronto GCA December Gathering
« on: November 13, 2007, 09:42:51 PM »
Since I'll finally be done my damned book by then, I believe it is time to schedule another Toronto GolfClubAtlas drinks outing at Murphy's Law in the Beaches.

I'm thinking Dec. 1 or 9, depending on how many people we can get to attend. Last time we had more than a dozen -- and at least a couple of interlopers. A good time was had by all, no fights were started, and lots of Guiness was consumed.

Please post here or send me a note as to which date works for the Toronto and area group, and I'll go about setting something up with the bar.

I'm in if it's on the 9th.  Unfortunately I'll be away on the 1st.  If this weather keeps up, we may be able to hold it at a golf course!  I've already played 4 times this month!

Rob, I would love to meet up on the 9th.

Can't do the 1st.

I can attend either date.  I'll just sit back and await the outcome.

I'm traveling the week of Dec. 1, but could possibly make it the 9th. Or, do you mean the 8th, Rob? That's Saturday night... the 8th.

I have a mission to go on so to speak in Toronto, that doesn't require a certain date.  I might be able to schedule it on an impromptu basis and drop into your little soiree.  Keep me posted on the date you pick and I just might make it.

Dec. 9 would work for me, and unlike last year it's pretty solid. Sign me up!

Damn -- Jeff is right, I do mean Saturday, Dec. 8. And that indeed looks like a date that works for most so far...

Rob,

Can't make either.  Doing a father/son golf trip that week, starting on the first, ending the ninth.  That definitely takes priority.  My wife wouldn't have appreciated the Saturday night anyway.   :-\

The 8th also works, but I could be late.  From what I hear the discussion lasted into the wee hours so I should be able to get my fill of some good archie talk.

Bump -- Looks like a small group this time, unlike previous gatherings. Ben? Gerry? Ian?

RT:

9th is better for me - assume early evening  / late afternoon - the patriots - steelers game is at 4:15 pm - so perhaps late afternoon early evening gathering as it is a sunday

your thoughts?

RT - you live close to Murphy's Law?  What's with the Saturday/Sunday - why can't we get drunk on a weekday?

Like Henry, I have a problem with the weekend date. A weekday mid afternoon would be much better for me.

I can manage both the 1st and 8th.

Mid week is not good at all since I'm on the road most of that week.

I could make it down on either of the two dates...

I don't know if some other Montreal guys would come down.
I'll ask Yannick and friends

Great to hear Phillippe. We'll try for the 8th of Dec. (Sat) then as it seems to be the day that works best for people. I'm suggesting a late dinner -- say 7:30, until it is over, which is usually late.

Looks like we've got a bunch in. I'll tally it up -- anyone else we haven't heard from?

Rob,

The 8th should work out fine for me, but I'll be there regardless of the date.  I don't have a vehicle right now, so it looks like I'll be taking the Greyhound again...

For those of you who aren't familiar with the venue, here is the Murphy's Law website.

Not sure I get it....People who work can't get out on a weeknight?

OK, OK I get it, but both those dates look tough for me.
