Glen Oaks Renovation

This work is being performed by Stephen Kay.  This is a great opportunity to judge his strategic understanding of the game. He pretty much had carte blanche as far as the bunkering and tree removal.

Judging by the pictures, I have a hard time believing any architect would have been given/or was given carte blanche in regard to tree removal.

There have been quite a few trees removed.  Obviously, they would not have allowed a clear cutting.  However, trees deemed essential to the architectural merits of the hole were considered fair game.

That looks like a project and a mission statement some architects would walk away from.

The average member of most every club certainly has a different view of trees necessary for "architectural integrity" of hole than most architects.  Or should I amend and say architects with "architectural integrity".

Who was the original architect of Glen Oaks?

The late Joe Finger is listed as the architect of record for Glen Oaks.

with all his restoration work in the NY area it would seem that Ken Dye would have been a good fit here.
