NOVEMBER 17 OUTING AT MORGAN CREEK GCC

All: here are the times for the outing at Morgan Creek. Please let me know here if there are any issues.

These are subject to change, as we don't know if Kyle Phillips and Dan Powell from Kyle Phillips Design are going to be attending.

Oh yeah, remember to get there early to hit balls (all grass range w/ shiny titleists) and roll some putts.

We'll be also having heavy appetizers (would suffice for dinner) during/before the presentation.

What else. Typical country club attire....um, think that's it.

Oh yeah, Sun Mountain speedcarts are available for free for walkers, so don't feel like you have to bring one if you don't want.

One last thing, at the gate to get in, just tell them you are guests of the club and playing golf. If they ask for a member name, give them Jed Peters.

That website claims up to 85% accuracy. So there's up to an 85% chance of up to a 70% chance of rain. So, doing the math, uh...

In the weeks leading up to our trip to Bandon earlier this year, the initial look at this website showed a 70% chance of rain, leading my to make the statement that the forecast "could only get better" ...

As the days grew closer, the forecast changed, showing a higher chance of rain, i.e. "not getting better" ... and it ended up raining every day ...

So yes, 85% of 70% equals ... bring your rain gear just in case !!!

Note the updated times, yours may have changed.

Kyle will likely NOT be playing (subject to change) but is doing the presentation for the meet and greet after, and Dan Powell (construction guy) is with his family for sure.

What else...other than that, I think we're pretty set. See the new times.

Instead of playoffs they should have some kind of computer generated formula to determine the top two teams, and then just have those two teams play for the title.   ;D

Any idea on an approximate time that Kyle would be giving his presentation. I'm unable to golf due to prior commitments, but am familiar with Kyle's projects and would love to hear more about his work at your course as well as what's finished and going on at Del Paso, Cal Club, etc.

Hope it might be possible just to drop in on the discussion.

Well.... most leagues do SOME sort of post-season something.  We call it "Jamboree", you call it "playoffs".  If this is rec league you're in, that does strike me as a bit too serious if they really do call it playoffs, and crazily so if it's single elimination!  We do three games, base winners on points, everyone plays a 4th game for one place or another.  My beloved U10 Arsenal came in 4th overall last weekend... not bad for a team that was 0-12-1 last year.  Oh yes I am Coach of the Year.   ;D

You wanna talk crazy?  Let's talk comp soccer.  My daughter plays pretty much year round... the event this weekend is a big one though - District Cup.
