I have heard that they are operating with a smaller crew and that the original development company (Rose-something?) has been bought out and a new company will take over on January 1.  I have not heard that the course is actually closing.

Bob/Chris,
W/o naming courses in Atl...6 lease packages by one equipment company were picked up in the last two weeks...
Atl will have a different golf landscape by end of Feb IMHO......some good supts and golf pros end up suffering because of the excesses and ignorance of many developers in the area.....
But as they say..a recession removes excesses....hopefully it will ring true not just in courses that shold have never been built but in the way they are maintained also.....

Mike -

Six? More than I would have thought. Boy, that's rough.

Let me ask you or Chris a different question. Is it too late to play The Manor? I've meant to get out there for a couple of years. I had heard that Watson did a nice job there.

Bob,

I am not sure about the Manor.  Last I heard they were struggling like most everyone but I do not know anything specific.  Right now there claim to fame (or shame) is that one of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" lives there :D

Mike,

Recessions do perform a necessary thinning out but what exactly will happen to the courses?  The high end real estate deals will just change hands at a lower debt structure.  The best thing that could happen would be for some of the courses to be plowed under.  We'll see.  Tell CR congrats ;D
