Photo #5 is Royal St. David's, Harlech, Wales.  I can't tell if it's from the 14th tee or the 15th tee.

Well spotted Tom, #5 is from Harlech's 15th tee.  

I think #13 is Prestwick's 15th from the fairway.

Craig is right, #2 is the 7th at Indian Creek.  I agree with Archie and James, what a great course and club.  Architecture students need to study this course for angles, deception and design with wind in mind.

Sean,

#8 is the 9th fairway (right) and 12th green of the Creek Club.

#15 is the 3rd at Cruden Bay

#13 is the 15th at Prestwick

#20 is the 7th at NGLA (that was a tough angle taken from 8 tee)

Mark,

#6 is the 18th at Cascades

Ari is correct, #3 is the 10th at RCP (Deal)

Right course for #10 but which hole?

Way off on #16.  Tom Doak knows this one.

#18 is correct, the fabulous 7th at The Country Club, Pepper Pike

#21?  Not sure about that one  :-\

As stated by Sean, that is the 15th at Harlech.  I think the toughest of the bunch.

#9 looks like it has some Carnoustie flavor, but I couldn't say for sure.

And a complete stab in the dark, 12 looks a bit Oakmont'ish....

#16 is the one that struck me and puzzled me right away.  Is that balance at work, or what?

I'm looking at #12 carefully.  If it is Oakmont, then it must be either hole 1, 10, or 12.  I think it's the first green.

It is one of those three, but not the first, which has a pole behind it.  There are a number of holes with white poles behind the greens to indicate the green locations on blind shots.  It is an interesting direction feature.  Might bunkers or other indicators be more appealing on such a great golf course?  One or two on a course is OK, but there must be a half dozen or more, right?

Wayne, give us a clue for #7.  That pic is fairly generic.  List the courses you have played in GB&I, if the list is too long, how bout a list of courses where this hole would "fit in" as it were.

Sean & Gary - you're right, I remember now the remark that no bunkers were needed to protect the elevated green set at right angles to the fairway on #14 "Foxy".

But those bunkers reminded me of the links at Dornoch.
