Guess where, the sequel
« on: October 14, 2007, 09:49:53 PM »
Just wanted to see if anyone could guess the course and where it is located. I'm sorry, in my research, I haven't been able to come up with the arch. I'm sure TD could tell us. Have fun......BTW, some par 3, huh?

If your shot hits more than two walls, it's out.

Well done Byron! It is El Morro Castle, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
It's a 9 holer and I'm not sure if it's even still around, but at the time of this photo it still had sand greens.

Tell me you wouldn't use that ramp on the left?

Man...that's one of the most strategic holes I've ever seen!

Almost scary so, in its complete and utter unnaturalness.

Mike, have you ever been to this place?  If the land wasn't taken by a cemetery and the city of San Juan...it would be ground for something truly special.  The 9-hole course doesn't exist anymore, but I wish it did.  The only thing I could think of while I was walking it was, man, I wish this was a golf course!

Bryon,

No, but I'm finding myself wishing that I was there right now.

David,

Actually...it's been an UNBELIEVABLE fall season so far and temps this week are creeping upwards from the 70s again.

Al Gore aside, I'm starting to love global warming.   ;)

For the Bay Area's boys. Would a shot from the Golden Gate to Fort Point below now be possible after seeing the photo above? ;)
