On our discussion of an 'Elks' Donald Ross course in Southern Ohio, John Kavanaugh advised that I should play French Lick for a much better sample of his work. He advised that I call for Winter rates, being, as I am, a thrifty soul. I did.
French Lick is $75 weekends, $50 weekdays, but will close after Thanksgiving weekend [as will Lassing Pointe FWIMC]. He says they want to do some more work on certain holes, though he did not say which.
He also told me that their 'Crown Jewel'; the new Pete Dye course, will open late Summer 2008. He sounded quite enthused about it. I did not DARE ask a price ...... I'll will pass that nasty chore back to you, John, or to whomever else is not discouraged by the thought.
