3 more photos of the Dell in Lahinch....they are taken from the Dune to the left of the green as you play the hole.  Gib, I hope this makes up for my previous blunder  ;)

Breathtaking in every possible sense. I will print and mount them in a place of high honor - right next to my collage of Nicole Kidman photos.

Truthfully, thank you. Just beautiful . . . . . . .

Do you have any of the Klondike?

Solid photo's, Bart, and welcome!

Don't mind Gib too much, he's just one of our resident curmudgeons!

Just ribbing ya Gib! ;) ;D

David,

I possess two discarded one-irons and know how to get to San Marcos. Curmudgeon you say! How dare you. I am a thoughtful cynic . . . . . .  ;)

Bart,

Golf with your young son at Lahinch. . . . . you are living my fondest dream. Feel blessed and lucky my friend.

Post a picture of your son also - I'll hang that one on the wall as a hopeful reminder of what may someday be possible for my Nicky.

The photos presented are terrific.

However,

If this green complex was duplicated on a golf course in America would it be well received ?

Public course ?
Private course ?
Resort course ?
Residential community course ?
Host course of a PGA Tour event ?

Don't just answer YES, NO or Maybe.

Tell us the reasoning behind your response.

Patrick:

I think that the hole was one of the most interesting and fun holes that I have played.  Saying that, in the right setting and on the right style of golf course, I think it would be well received by nearly everyone.  I cannot speak for PGA tour pros, as I am sure "fun" is not part of the equation.  I would love to see more holes in modern design like those at Lahinch and Prestwick...I had a blast at both courses.

Just my opinion.

Pat,

It was duplicated at Erin Hills.  Most haven't had a problem with the greensite.  Many have had a problem with the tee shot where the tee is level with the top of the fronting hill and above the level of the green.
