The Essence of Modern Designers

Well ... I'm getting luckwarm feedback to the classic designers topic and probably for good reason.  I'm still hopeful though.

Anyway, there shouldn't be as much an excuse for the modern designers.  Right?  Or maybe it's even tougher because today's designers don't quite have the same freedom of expression (i.e. environmental constraints, permit restrictions, real estate dev., limited topography options, etc.)

So given this, can someone "get" Dye is X number of courses experienced?

You be the judge.

or less of a nuisance, is water. Water hazards
absolutely prohibit the recovery shot, perhaps
the best shot in the game.” —William Flynn, golf
course architect

Most I think would be insulted if someone suggests only a few are needed.  Good luck getting your lists  ;D
