What does this photo make you think of?

I really like this photo I took last week--if you want to know and are a bit tech savvy the name of the course is partially in the photo name--otherwise I will reveal in a day or so.

Any thoughts, comments, questions, feelings, emotions (you get the idea)...

I hadn't thought of Oakmont but I can see where you'd get that from.

This course is a tad bit easier than Oakmont...

Makes me think of Oakmont. ;D

I said this out loud to myself then look down a post and see it has already been said. That green/approach transition screams Oakmont to me.

I've seen this here before from a different angle.

Although I've never played it, and my site search skills have failed me, I going to guess Shoreacres #3 or #9. Probably 9 because of the bunkers on the left side of the photo.

Edit: Although Oakmont was my initial reaction as well.

Good hint, and one of the top 5 golf courses I have ever played.  Shoreacres hole #9.  Do you have any more pictures of the course?

Shoreacres #9 is correct. I do have some more photos, will try to post some tonight that are different holes from what are photographed in the course profiled (which has updated pictures this year in the meantime).

I will have to agree with Jed...bump and run...and #16 at Essex County in MA..where the green is huge and flattish, with lots of fairway on which to test your chipping distance control...
