I've qualified for my first college tournament, which will take place this weekend.  The website gives decent hole descriptions, but I wonder if any of the Treehouse have played it and can comment on it.

Thanks.

I've played the course in a scramble format for a William and Mary Tribe Club outing in the spring. I wasn't really focused on the architecture but will offer some general observations. The greens were in rough shape mostly due to lack of people fixing ball marks. I've been told by others that green conditioning has been a problem this entire summer. I don't think the course is overly long (we played forward in the scramble) and the landing areas are plenty generous. However, an errant drive will land you in some very deep rough or in the trees. To score well in a highly competitive tournament will probably come down to driving accuracy because I don't think the green complexes will give players of your level significant problems. Again this is based on one trip around in a scramble.

Good luck.

Tim, I take from this that you made the W&L Team.  Congratulations, though if you'd studied a little more you might have matriculated at a real university over in Charlottesville.......

Well gawrsh, Jamey, there ain't no way I'd have made the team at UVA.  I requested an audience with the golf coach last July, and he said to stop by his office at a certain time on a certain date, then he blew me off.  So needless to say, I was turned off to the whole place by that snubbing.  But  I must've caught them on a bad day; I know a couple people who've raved about it.  I was looking for a smaller school anyway.

Cheers.
