Bulle Rock
« on: September 04, 2007, 10:08:02 AM »
Played Bulle Rock on Monday. This was my 2nd go round. Funny how Pete Dye is a much better architect than the 1st time I played it.

The theme seems to be diagonal lines and blind landing areas.

Hole # 2
Choose the side of the fairway for the 2nd shot based on the pin position on this horse shoe shaped green.

The creek splits the fairway diagonally.

Hole #3
Taken from 8 o'clock, the left side of the green complex is not the place to play from.

Hole #5
Long par 4 up the hill. Once again the fairway is diagonal to the tee box. The view of this shot is from where my tee shot landed. Still made 4 though. The pin is in the center of the frame.

The greenside view shows the run up area in front.

Hole #10
Play left of the traps if you can carry it 300. Otherwise play right and have a longer shot in. The last bunker is a 276 yard carry. The gunch left is death.

Hole # 12
Not much to say. Don't hit it right.

Hole # 15
The green sits diagonal to the fairway line. A good drive leaves 225yards up the hill over the railroad ties. It's a fun shot to hit. A rewading birdie indeed. This shot was taken from the 16th tee box.

Hole #17
A nice par 3.

Hole #18
A big hole requiring big shots. Make 4 on this hole and walk off with a smile. I was smiling.

They show on my screen and they showed up in the preview.
Not sure why you can't see them.

Jeff,

I see what the problem is...

You have to add the file extension name ".jpg" to the end of the link when you click on the photo so the browser knows what kind of file it is, and then you can post them like this.

I at one time tried to use yahoo to post pictures. The yahoo site generated a string of characters for the url of where the photos could be accessed. Unfortunately, they somehow managed to change this periodically so that I got the same results Jeff is getting. I could see them. No one else could unless the saw them in the first moments after I made my post.

I of course sent Huckaby a nastygram.
